Lunar Colony is a simple game that is hard to master. The goal is to become as rich as possible in a limited amount of time.

The setting is the Moon, in the near future. In a gesture of world unity, a group of Corporations and World powers have united to assist each other in colonizing the Moon. By combining resources they set up a Lunar Space Port that is used by the competing teams to send and receive resources to and from the Earth.

Each player takes turns building facilities on the 9 x 9 Lunar surface. These facilities produce resources that are then used or sold. Some facilities require resources in order to function.

Download.com Review of Lunar Colony

This interesting game charges you with creating a profitable colony on the moon and competing with other settlers to see who will make the most money. You won't need your 3D card for Lunar Colony's simple graphics, but don't let that fool you into thinking the game isn't a challenge. Play against up to four opponents as you build out from a common space port to gather energy, food, and ore for profit. Each turn consists of players building station components that will increase a certain resource, then a summary phase that shows which team is in the lead. The game's most challenging aspect is that you have a limited amount of turns to create a perfectly balanced and profitable colony. However, we would have liked a tutorial or a detailed help section to understand the specifics of Lunar Colony's various dialogs. People looking for a mentally stimulating game will enjoy this unique, futuristic simulation. (Download.com)
